Cooperation and projects

ISS will always be receptive to cooperative projects with schools, technical colleges and universities, since these are bound to culminate in win-win situations. Apart from supporting scientific projects, we are also more than willing to share our practical knowledge with students within the framework of presentations and projects. Trade fairs at universities and technical colleges are also ideal platforms where ISS would be keen to meet students and graduates.

ISS gave an interview focusing on the “BEST RECRUITERS” award to two master’s students of business psychology from the University of Vienna. Christine Ning and Alexander Dregger attended a recruiting seminar and provided valuable findings which they had gained through the exchange with ISS.
ISS has already received this award several times and enjoyed answering the interested students’ questions and giving them insight from a company perspective. It was a pleasure for us to have the opportunity to make a contribution to the seminar.

Susanne J. graduated with a Master’s degree in Management at the IMC Fachhochschule Krems, majoring in Human Resources. In the course of her Master’s thesis on the topic of “Employer Branding in Austria and Its Benefit to Companies, Using the ‘BEST RECRUITERS’ as an Example”, she asked ISS for an expert’s interview.
In her Master’s thesis, the student probes the question whether and to what extent Employer Branding such as the “BEST RECRUITERS” quality brand can offer the employer added value. For this purpose, she interviewed employers who managed to considerably improve their “BEST RECRUITERS” ranking in the course of the study years.
ISS is a winner in its sector and ranked second overall in “BEST RECRUITERS” 2014/15 (total of 519 companies tested in Austria). Once again, ISS was elated about its cooperation with a technical college and to report on the ongoing improvements in recruiting and the associated successes.

Ing. Reinhard Poglitsch, MBA, in his position as IFMA President Austria, gave an interesting and forward-looking talk in January 2014 at the FH Kufstein within the framework of the "16th International FM & REM Winter Congress".
Reinhard Poglitsch is a member of the ISS Austria Management Board and much in demand as a speaker at FM congresses. According to the motto "Vision 2020 - New Ways of Working" at the "16th International FM & REM Winter Congress", he invited members to join him in casting a glance at the future of working. His audience was fascinated by the “ISS White Book” and afterwards availed themselves of the opportunity of an exchange of views with the experts.

In May 2013, the Fachhochschule Villach invited Mr. Reinhard Poglitsch, MBA, to deliver a presentation on the interrelationships and synergies of production maintenance and facility management.
Since production maintenance and facility management are closely related, FH Villach invited the ISS Management Board member to give a talk on facility management. Many students in the technical college course on maintenance and production attended the talk by Mr. Poglitsch and took advantage of the opportunity to exchange information with experts. The students were highly impressed by the know-how of the presenter, since the interface between the two disciplines was excellently explained. ISS has a special interest in the contact and exchange of knowledge with students. This is why we will gladly pass on the knowledge gained in practice within a framework of lectures and courses.

The “Meet & Match” cross-sectoral career fair for students of the FH Kufstein took place in 2013, once again with ISS participation.
ISS was present once again at this genuine recruiting event par excellence. Interested students gained insights into ISS practice and demands on future staff, including information on career profiles, open positions and internships. ISS is already looking forward to the next fair.

A professional application constitutes the basis for launching your career. ISS will support those with little or no experience through this phase.
In their application training courses, always at the cutting edge of technology (“social media”, online vs. e-mail application, etc.), ISS will offer partner schools practical know-how to optimally support interested persons in their application endeavours.

Ing. Reinhard Poglitsch, MBA, member of the ISS Management Board and President of IFMA Austria (International Facility Management Association), gave a talk at the “Kufsteiner FM-Gespräche” 2013.
Reinhard Poglitsch impressed an audience of about 60, including Prof. Dr. Thomas Madritsch (Managing Director FH Kufstein) and Dipl. Ing. (Univ.) Christian Huber (Study course leader FH Kufstein) with his talk titled “10 Future megatrends and their impact on FM in the year 2020”.

DI (FH) Manuel Radauer, Head of IFS Solutions and Transitions at ISS, has from 2013 been presenting the “Facility Management” course at the BFI Vienna Academy.
Through his lectures, Manuel Radauer imparts his know-how within the framework of the “EDP & Reporting in Facility Management” to the interested participants in the course. The module focuses on CAFM and Reporting in Facility Management.

ISS was present again in 2013 at the “Career talks” in the Fachhochschul-Studienzentrum Pinkafeld.
The “Career Talks” are an informal platform where future graduates of the different study courses can meet. ISS had contact discussions with students in an informal atmosphere.

To further enhance “Health & Care” quality standards, ISS has developed the “Small Health & Care Handbook” for its staff. Based on this, a student was able to acquire important practical experience in photography.
According to the motto “A picture is worth a thousand words”, ISS is developing “Small Handbooks” as guideline for its commercial staff. Professionalism of the photographs is assured by cooperative modelling by both “real” ISS staff and a talented student. The student perfectly applied the skills acquired in her studies. Once again, it was demonstrated in this case that cooperative ventures between companies and students will generate win-win results.
